Summer School

Welcome to Summer School & Enrichment!

Summer School offers students the opportunity to receive additional instruction in a course in advance of the regular school year. By passing the course(s), the students earn full credit.

World History (incoming 11th) & CSS (incoming 12th) enrichment courses will be offered each summer.  Students can check to participate in these courses when scheduling in the spring.  More information, including applications and payment will be shared out in May.

Credit Recovery

Summer School may offer students the opportunity to receive additional instruction in a course that they were not able to pass during the regular school year.

By passing the course(s), the students earn full credit.

Please contact school administration to discuss the cost and process for registering students for credit recovery courses over the summer.

Summer School Attendance Policy

Because of the shortness of time and the quantity of work to be covered during summer school, attendance must be held as a top priority. Consequently, students taking the enrichment courses (6 weeks) are permitted to miss a maximum of 2 days (1 day is considered 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.). Except for extenuating circumstances, any absence beyond two-day limit will require a doctor’s excuse, or the student may be dropped from the program. Time off for vacation or summer camp is not considered an extenuating circumstance.

Because the course offering is determined by the number of students, there will not be any refunds regardless of whether the student quits or is dropped. Payment is due on the first day of classes with a check made payable to Montoursville Area High School.
