ATTENTION PARENTS/GUARDIANS:

We are in the midst of the “flu season”.  Here are some helpful guidelines you should follow when making the decision to either send your child to school or keep them home.

KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME FROM SCHOOL WHEN:

  • They have a temperature of 100 degrees or more
  • They have red eye(s) accompanied with discharge or matting
  • They have vomited the evening/night before school
  • They have persistent diarrhea
  • They have been diagnosed with an infection (such as “pink eye” or strep throat). Your child should be on antibiotics for at least 24 hours before returning to school.

I am excited to be teaching Family & Consumer Science at McCall Middle School. This elective course provides students with the opportunity to explore and develop essential life skills that they will carry with them well beyond middle school.

Throughout the year, students will engage in hands-on learning experiences such as:

  • Sewing and creative projects

  • Decision-making and problem-solving

  • Career exploration

  • Money management and budgets
  • Cooking and nutrition

To be prepared for class, students will need to bring the following materials each day:

  • A pencil (or something to write with)

  • Chromebook

  • A pair of headphones

I look forward to an engaging and successful school year as we build skills for both today and the future!…

Student Requirements:

Students are REQUIRED to bring athletic sneakers to their PE class.

– No Crocs, slides, boots, or Hey Dudes.

– Point deduction will occur if these shoes are brought to class.

– I have a few pairs of shoes available for the students if they forget.

A change of clothes is RECOMMENDED but not required.

– If we are outside and it is hot, it is best to bring a change of clothes due to sweat.

– It also may be a good idea to bring clothes in the event that we get dirty when we are outside.
