MASD NEWSLETTER AUG/SEP 26

We hope summer has been treating you well.  Montoursville Area School District is looking forward to welcoming everyone back as we finish preparing our buildings for the start of the 2026-27 school year.  Here you will find our August/September 2026 Newsletter with some limited information on Open Houses and Freshmen Orientation, school start date, the Parent Portal, ParentSquare, and much more.  Due to construction and our late start, unfortunately all of our Open Houses will fall on the same date and time of September 3, 2026 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  We understand the inconvenience, and we hope this is limited only to this year.

As you visit our classrooms for Open House and Freshmen Orientation, please keep in mind that September 3rd is also our teachers’ first day back.  Our priority for Open House isn’t having picture-perfect rooms or finished bulletin boards; it’s giving you and your child the chance to meet your teachers and start building meaningful relationships for the year ahead.  We look forward to welcoming you into our schools and the entire school year ahead!

More detailed communication will be coming from your principals as we get closer to the start of the school year and as always…GO WARRIORS!

New MASD Website

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our newly redesigned district website! The update brings a modern, clean look that better reflects our commitment to Pride, Excellence, and Tradition, while prioritizing ease of use and quick access to the information our families, students, and community need most.

  • Prominent Announcements Section We’ve replaced the old ticker with a larger, front-and-center announcements area on the homepage. Now you can easily scroll through all posts for better visibility and click directly on the ones that interest you.
  • Updated Image Slider The slider remains to showcase what matters most—our students! We’ve slightly reduced its size to give more immediate access to other important homepage content without losing its impact.
  • District & Building News Highlights Short, engaging news stories about student achievements, events, and activities continue to appear prominently on the homepage and individual school pages.
  • Cleaner, More Flexible Calendars All district calendars have been migrated to the new platform in a refreshed, user-friendly format. Switch between month, week, or schedule views, and use the convenient “Add to Google Calendar” button to sync events to your personal calendar.
  • Popular Pages Quick Links A new feature highlights the most-visited pages with direct links. These links update dynamically based on community usage and current district happenings—making it faster to find what you need.
  • Streamlined & Relevant Content We’ve removed outdated or unnecessary items and refined the most important information for accuracy and clarity.

Our top priority was functionality, delivering intuitive navigation, seamless access to information, and a truly user-friendly experience, while creating a fresh, modern design that proudly represents Montoursville Area School District. We’ve updated our district logo and ensured the site’s colors now reflect our official blue and gold.

We hope you enjoy exploring the updated site.

Thank you for being part of the Montoursville Area School District community, and as always… Go Warriors!
