ParentSquare
ParentSquare provides notifications such as emergency alerts, school delays, and cancellation information. For those parents/guardians who are listed in our Student Information System (SIS), you don’t need to do anything. The information you gave us when you registered your child(ren) is in our system. If you feel it needs updated, please contact your school office to make the changes.
Community members who do not have contact information in our SIS, but would still benefit from receiving district alerts (grandparents, babysitters, emergency contacts, etc.), may register to receive them using the Community Member Registration Form.
Remind
Remind allows MASD teachers and coaches to communicate with students and parents in a safe and seamless manner. For those parents/guardians who are listed in our Student Information System (SIS), you don’t need to do anything. The information you gave us when you registered your child(ren) is in our system. If you feel it needs updated, please contact your school office to make the changes. Teachers and coaches can send messages to you through Remind, and you can choose to receive them via text message, email, or through the Remind smartphone app.

Note: Remind has been acquired by ParentSquare, and we will be transitioning to the ParentSquare platform for the 2026-2027 school year.
Volunteer Clearances
Volunteers are always needed and welcomed at Montoursville Area School District. The clearances listed below, as regulated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, are required to be on file with the district (at the building level) before an individual is permitted to volunteer. Volunteers can be in the classroom or attend field trips with the students.
- FBI Background Check Clearance (Use Volunteer Code: 1KG6ZJ)
- NOTE: Volunteers who have been continuous residents of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years may submit a Montoursville Area School District Volunteer Verification Form in place of the FBI Background Check.
- PA Criminal History Clearance
- Child Abuse History Clearance
