Real Estate Taxes

By law, it is the responsibility of the taxpayer to know real estate taxes are due. Failure to receive a tax bill does NOT relieve any taxpayer from prompt payment of their taxes as if the bill was received.

School Property Tax Bills will be mailed the first week of July.

Note: Tax bills are sent to the property owner, not to the mortgage company.  If your taxes are paid through an escrow account, you must forward a copy of your bill to your mortgage company.

Do you need a duplicate tax bill?  Email with your name, property address, and parcel number to shoover@montoursville.k12.pa.us.

Real Estate Tax Certifications

Montoursville Area School District offers the following methods for obtaining real estate tax certifications. Please note fax requests will no longer be accepted for real estate tax certifications.

1. Instant Online Certifications
   • The combined fee for this method of obtaining a tax certification is $10.00 ($7.05 certification fee + $2.95 convenience fee).
2. Certifications-by-Mail
   • The fee for this method of obtaining a tax certification is $10.00.
   • A check or money order for $10.00 should be sent to the address below. A certification will be generated and returned to the requestor 3-5 business days following receipt of full payment.
   • Certifications-by-mail requests should be sent to:

     Montoursville, PA 17754
   • Please be sure to include the real estate parcel number, physical address, and owner’s name.
