November Students of the Month

Every month, the Montoursville and Warrensville Lions Clubs each pick two seniors to recognize as students of the month. For November, Anna Baylor and Benjamin Foster were chosen for the Montoursville Lions, and Elise Beishline and Noah Hepler were chosen for the Warrensville Lions. The Arrowhead is not responsible for choosing the students of the month.

 

Anna Baylor

Parents: Robert Baylor and Beth and Jeff Hutchins 

Hobbies: Sports, lifting, reading, quilting, hanging out with friends and gardening 

Favorite Subject: Science, specifically anatomy and physiology 

Fondest Memory: Baylor’s fondest memories are of her athletics and the fun times spent with friends.

Extracurricular Activities: Varsity soccer, track and field, Key Club (president), FFA (president), National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honor Society, English Honor Society, FBLA, Student Government, Med Careers, concert band, jazz band

Future Plans: Baylor plans to attend East Carolina University to major in exercise physiology with a pre-health track. At East Carolina University Baylor will be a part of the Honors College and will be throwing for their track and field team. 

 

Benjamin Foster

Parents: Brent and Heidi Foster 

Hobbies: Writing, reading, playing guitar, traveling, volunteering, and weight lifting 

Favorite Subject: English

Fondest Memory: Too many to choose

Extracurricular Activities: Key Club (editor), National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Astronomy Club, Environmental Club, Social Science Seminar, and Young Life

Future Plans: Foster plans to attend Grove City College to pursue a biology/health degree in a pre-med program. He then plans to further his education in medical school where he will be enrolled in a double program to become a family medicine physician and a psychiatrist. 

 

Elise Beishline

Parents: Christine and Justin Beishline 

Hobbies: Running, hiking, writing, drawing, reading, and observational astronomy

Favorite Subject: Math

Fondest Memory: Beishline’s fondest memory was on a vacation she took to Maine with her family. They all took the best naps of their lives next to a lighthouse and then had a huge lobster and oyster diner. 

Extracurricular Activities: Mock Trial team (captain), Astronomy Club (president), Physics Club (treasurer), National Art Honor Society, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Key Club

Future Plans: Beishline plans to attend Penn State Schreyer Honor’s College for electrical engineering. 

 

Noah Hepler

Parents: Nicole and Aaron Hepler

Hobbies: Reading and working out

Favorite Subject: Physics 

Fondest Memory: Hepler’s fondest memories are of pasta dinners with his cross country team before meets. 

Extracurricular Activities: Cross country, track and field, Key Club, student government, National Honor Society (historian), National English Honor Society, Honor Society, FBLA, Rho Kappa, Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (vice president), physics club, social science seminar

Future Plans: Hepler plans to attend PSU for biomedical and mechanical engineering degrees, then he wants to possibly become a doctor in orthopedics or psychiatry or a mechanical or biomedical engineer.
