Montoursville Borough Boy: Brady Cohen

Q: What sports, clubs, and/or activities are you involved in?
A: “[I am] Mock Trial team captain, FBLA secretary, Mu Alpha Theta Vice President, Youth Development Task Force Ambassador, a Spanish club board member, in National Honor Society, Student Government, Rho Kappa, Science National Honor Society, indoor and outdoor track and field, [and I] work at Eder’s Ice Cream.”
Q: What are your plans for after high school?
A: “I plan to go to Penn State majoring in Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship.”
Q: What is your favorite memory?
A: “[My] favorite memory is Homecoming senior year where I escorted Karleigh McKenna at both school in the parade and at the football game and in the Flaming Foliage.”

A: “‘Everyone can always be a little bit better at everything, so do not be upset with what you could have done, but rather what you did’ – A rather cool guy, Brady Cohen.”

A: “Don’t take AP Calculus or AP Physics unless you want your brain to explode.”
Montoursville Borough Girl: Kendall Simms

A: “I am involved in the track and field and tennis teams. I am in Key Club, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honor Society, and was also part of the district orchestra.”
Q: What are your plans for after high school?
A: “I plan on attending either Bucknell or Susquehanna University to major in environmental science and continue my track career.”
Q: What is your favorite memory?
A: “My favorite memory is placing seventh in the state during my sophomore year in the pole vault and earning a state medal.”

A: “My favorite quote is, ‘Be the change you wish to see in the world.’”

A: “My favorite school tradition is Class Day because it is unique to our school.”

A: “My advice to future seniors would be to get help in your math class if you do not understand something.”

A: “My favorite memory is my basketball seasons here at Montoursville.”

A: “My advice would be not to get caught up in the little things. Friends will come and go but stay true to yourself. Do not change for anyone.”

A: “I am Vice President of Key Club, secretary of the Class of 2025, secretary of Science National Honor Society, historian of FBLA, National Honor Society member, Mu Alpha Theta member, Student Government member, I participate in Med Careers, and play on the girls’ soccer team.”
Q: What are your plans for after high school?
A: “I plan to attend Slippery Rock University in the Honors College and major in Exercise Science on a pre-physical therapy track in their 3+3 program.”

A: “My favorite memory as a senior is going to football and basketball games with my friends.”

A: “My favorite tradition is getting to watch the talent show every year on the last day before Christmas break.”

A: “Don’t stress yourself out about the little things, just enjoy the time you have because it’ll be over before you know it.”

A: “Choir president, Spanish Club secretary, Theater Arts Club president, Thespian and Musical Theater Club secretary, Rho Kappa, Concert band, Jazz band, Ville’ Harmonic Ensemble, Student Government”

A: “I plan on going to Susquehanna University to earn a degree in Music Education with a vocal focus.”
Q: What is your favorite memory?
A: “My favorite memory is probably some of the opportunities I’ve got to do with music and theater here. I loved all the shows I did and sang some really good rep here.”

A: “My favorite high school tradition is probably the talent show, especially because I helped host this year.”
Q: If you could give any advice to future seniors, what would it be?
A: “I would say get involved in music and clubs that have to do with community service work. Also, take advantage of all of the opportunities being a high school student gives you.”

A: “I plan to attend Denison University with a full ride scholarship to major in Biology and eventually become a Physician Assistant.”

A: “My favorite memory is winning districts with my favorite team after we worked so hard all year.”

A: “Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”

A: “My favorite school tradition is probably Homecoming, with all of the dress up days, the parade, the alumni football game, and of course the dance. I especially enjoyed Homecoming this year because I was honored to be on court, which was such a fun and exciting experience.”

A: “If I could give any advice to future seniors it would be to get involved and try new things whenever you can.”

A: “Playing travel baseball in the summer of 2023.”

A: “Spend as much time as you can with your friends.”

A: “Varsity cheerleading, marching, jazz, and concert band, concert choir, Key Club, YoungLife, Theater Arts club, Musical Theater Arts club, Thespian Honor Society, the Arrowhead, I am Rho Kappa Vice President, a recreational cheer coach, I dance at The Katie Benson School of Dance and also I am in all of the plays and musicals. I was also on the Winter Formal Court.”
Q: What are your plans for after high school?
A: “I am going to IUP to major in Psychology and get my doctorate in Clinical Psychology.”

A: “This cheer season as a whole, and everything that we accomplished as a team.”

A: “Don’t take everything so seriously. High school is what you make of it. Surround yourself with people who love you and match your energy. You don’t have to be ‘cool’ and ‘popular’ to have a good time, just be yourself!”

A: “My favorite memories are being a kid and hanging out with my friends without a worry about anything but what we were going to do for fun that day.”

A: “Find a balance, set goals, and most importantly have fun!”

A: “[I am] captain of the Girls’ Varsity Tennis team, President of Ski Club, Vice President of Spanish National Honor Society, secretary of Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society, in National English Honor Society, Student Government, Key Club, Spanish club, FBLA, and [I was] on the Homecoming Court.”

A: “I plan to attend Penn State University at the University Park campus this fall to major in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.”

A: “I really enjoyed reading to Mrs. Logue’s first grade class during one of our Homecoming Court activities.”

A: “Seek out new opportunities, be kind to others, and always follow your heart.”

A: “I’m the Key Club’s editor, National Art Honor Society’s historian, [I am] on the Broadcast Team of the Arrowhead, [I am] a member of Rho Kappa, Environmental club, Student Government, and Quill and Scroll.”
Q: What are your plans for after high school?
A: “I plan on attending a four year university to major in marketing and minor in graphic design.”

A: “My favorite memory is the football student section during Homecoming.”

A: “My favorite school tradition is Class Day when all of the seniors come together for one of the last times.”

A: “I would tell future seniors to enjoy their senior year because it goes by so fast and to get all of the hours needed for clubs ASAP because it can get stressful trying to cram them all into the last couple months of school.”

A: “To attend Shippensburg University to obtain a degree in Mechanical Engineering so I can become an automotive designer.”

A: “Freshman year Fun Day is my favorite memory.”

A: “My advice is to be as unabashed as possible, because that is the best version of yourself.”

A: “After high school, I am attending Penn College in the fall for Radiography.”

A: “My favorite school memory is freshman year when I first met my Warrior Pal at Lyter.”

A: “My advice for future seniors is to do your work right away and don’t let it pile up.”

A: “Soccer in grades 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th; football in 12th, track in 9th, Sports Leadership Program at Loyalsock in 10th, and FBLA in 12th.”
Q: What are your plans for after high school?
A: “I am going to attend the Pennsylvania College of Technology where I will get my Associate’s Degree in Radiography and my Bachelor’s in Health Management. I will also be playing soccer there.”
Q: What is your favorite memory?
A: “My favorite memory of school would probably be freshman year when we had the one and only giant fun day where we were outside all day. No schoolwork at all and there was even a scavenger hunt made around the classrooms and areas of the school. Sadly, the tradition didn’t continue since someone hit Mrs. Morgan in the face with a water balloon.”

A: “My favorite quote would probably be, ‘Youth is something I never wanna take for granted. I just want to smile and live life’ -Tyler, the Creator.”
Q: Do you have a favorite school tradition? If so, what is it?
A: “I think my favorite tradition would have to be the talent show. It’s unique, not many people decide to have talent shows around here. It can be funny or even surprise some people by showing off what talents they have. It is also just a nice way to kick off Christmas break.”
Q: If you could give any advice to future seniors, what would it be?
A: “Enjoy every moment of it, never have a dull moment and live each school day out to its fullest. When the final bell rings, there’s no going back, no redo’s, it’s over. You shape the way you want it to end.”
