Artists of the Month

Gabrielle Connor (Senior)

Q: What do you enjoy most about painting?

A: “I adore the freedom to be as complex or simple as I want. I love being able to put my ideas on paper in a beautiful way that can describe more than words can.

Q: What is your favorite project you’ve ever completed?

A: “I love the painting I created that shows a ghost standing in the rain. It has a lot of inverted colors as well as the complex idea of if it rains in the afterlife, coming from the title.

Q: How long have you been involved in painting?

A: “I’ve been involved in painting since my freshman year, but I have loved art ever since I was a very little girl, and I will love it forever!

Q: What is your favorite memory you’ve made in the art room?

A: “My favorite memory I have made is spending time with my art friends, laughing and sharing ideas for different pieces and always being there for one another.

Q: Do you plan to continue with this hobby outside of high school?

A: “I plan to make it into a career! I love art.

Q: What are your plans for after high school?

A: “I will be attending Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, where I will major in Animation and Game Art in hopes of designing my own video games. I intend on becoming a voice actor for both my own and others games as well. I am extremely excited for my future!
