Gracie Weaver (Senior)
Q: What do you enjoy most about drawing?
A: “I love that you can turn anything into artwork. I enjoy mixing different patterns into one big drawing and seeing how they all come together in the end.”
Q: What is your favorite project you have ever completed?
A: “This year I did a Halloween themed project where I drew different characters from Halloween movies and put them together onto one big paper.”
Q: How long have you been involved in drawing?
A: “I’ve always loved to draw but I started taking drawing classes my junior year.”
Q: What is your favorite memory you’ve made in the art room?
A: “Last year a friend and I did one huge drawing and the entire process of creating it was such a fun experience.”
Q: Do you plan to continue this hobby outside of high school?
A: “Yes, drawing has always been a hobby of mine. My sophomore year I even started tattooing and got to turn my artwork into tattoos for my friends and family.”
Q: What are your future plans for after high school?
A: “I’ve worked since freshman year of high school so I plan to continue working full time. After a year off of school, I plan to continue my schooling online to study early childhood development.”
Makenna Vought (Sophomore)
Q: What do you enjoy most about drawing?
A: “I enjoy having the freedom to express my feelings and thoughts throughout drawing.”
Q: What is your favorite project you have ever completed?
A: “One of my favorite projects that I have created has been my sea drawing. I created it this past summer [2024].”
Q: How long have you been involved in drawing?
A: “I have been involved with drawing since I was about 4. I have always had a passion for art and loved to use my imagination.”
Q: What is your favorite memory you’ve made in the art room?
A: “One of my favorite memories in the art room would have to be the Christmas party celebration in 2023 (my freshman year). We all made Christmas themed hats out of construction paper, drank hot chocolate, and listened to Christmas music.”
Q: Do you plan to continue this hobby outside of high school?
A: “I would like to continue when I graduate but I’m not 100% sure of my plans yet after high school.”
