Every month, the Montoursville Lions Club picks two seniors to recognize as students of the month. The Arrowhead is not responsible for choosing the students of the month. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What sports, clubs, and\/or activities are you involved in? \"\"<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cI am a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Thespian Honor Society, Quill and Scroll Honor Society, Key Club, Medical Careers, and Health Science Club. I am also a co-president of Student Government, and treasurer of the choir, Theater Arts Club, Musical Theater Club, and Thespian Honor Society. I am also in the choir, plays, and musicals, and am the senior section leader of the Color Guard. Along with being the Editor-in-Chief of the Arrowhead\u2019s broadcast team, I created Montoursville\u2019s first ever award winning podcast on teen mental health. I am the designated school photographer, and the operator of the Montour Moments Instagram page. Outside of school, I dance three nights a week at the Katie Benson School of Dance, where I am also a student dance teacher.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: As of right now, what are your plans for after high school?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cI plan to attend a four year college to major in pre-medicine. After getting my degree I plan to attend medical school to become a pediatrician that specializes in psychology.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What is your favorite memory?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cTaking pictures at all of the sporting events, and getting close with all of the players and their families through photography.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What is your favorite quote?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201c\u2018Flowers grow back even after the harshest winters. You will too.\u2019 -Jennae Cecelia\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: Do you have a favorite school tradition? If so, what is it?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cThe talent show, because I get to laugh and watch all of the incredible talent that the student body has to offer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What is something that you enjoy doing in your free time?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cIf I have free time, I like making things! Arts and crafts is always the way to go.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: Pick either a favorite singer\/band\/song, movie\/TV show, or book, and tell me a bit about why it is your favorite!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cI love watching comedy specials because whenever I am sad, upset, or anxious I can turn that on and laugh and all of my problems go away.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What is a goal of yours for senior year?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cTo leave the school better than when I walked in four years ago.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: If you could give any advice to future seniors, what would it be?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201c\u2018Leave any place better than when you walked in!\u2019 -Jamie Burns\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cFootball, baseball, band, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, FBLA, Key Club, and tutoring.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: As of right now, what are your plans for after high school?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cAttend Penn State for Architecture.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What is your favorite memory?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cRecess football on the baseball field at Lyter, hands down. Life may have peaked back then, not going to lie.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What is your favorite quote?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cHow vain it is to sit down to write when you have not stood up to live. -Henry David Thoreau.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: Do you have a favorite school tradition? If so, what is it?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cThe bonfire before the Battle of the Bridge. I love the atmosphere and the fact the town comes out to it as well.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What is something that you enjoy doing in your free time?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cI love to listen to music when I work on drawings or read.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: Pick either a favorite singer\/band\/song, movie\/TV show, or book, and tell me a bit about why it is your favourite!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cI\u2019m definitely a cinephile at heart so I can\u2019t really narrow it down to one. But a favorite song of mine would have to be “Imagine” by John Lennon. My grandfather and I have the same music taste and that was one of his favorites.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: What is a goal of yours for senior year?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cTo grow more as an individual and be a more positive person regardless of how the day was.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Q: If you could give any advice to future seniors, what would it be?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A: \u201cI would tell future seniors to buy a mini digital camera so they can record everything before it goes by. Senior year goes by ridiculously fast and you\u2019ll miss it if you don\u2019t slow down, but make sure to still enjoy it to its fullest no matter what!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
