A dedicated athlete and student stepped off of the Warrior Run High School field thinking that he was leaving sports behind. He had plans to attend Susquehanna University and major in accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few years later, Aaron Runkle continues his dedication on a different path than he thought by being the MASD Technology Facilitator, cross country coach, and track coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[ His work is] essential to keep everything working well within the district and community,\u201d said high school math teacher Ashley Hewlett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of the reason Runkle is so helpful is because of the immense amount of his time he puts into his career. Runkle makes it his life, and excels in it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI spend around 12 hours here every day,\u201d said Runkle. \u201c It consumes my whole life, but I like to be busy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Runkle impacts teachers and his athletes by being professional and having a good attitude under all the stress of what he does for MASD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just always fun to be around,\u201d said Junior athlete of the cross country and track team Talon McKenna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of the new SmartPasses and other technology involving MASD, being efficient is important when it comes to helping with technology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[Runkle] is very responsive in a timely manner with my technology needs,\u201d said Hewlett. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hewlett and McKenna use the words \u201creliable\u201d and \u201cenergetic\u201d to describe Runkle- two words that are important characteristics to have as a coach and a technology facilitator. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wish more people knew about him,\u201d said Hewlet, \u201c He really does so much for us and doesn\u2019t get much recognition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
