Sadie Disher represents school at Flaming Foliage Festival

Autumn brings many well-loved traditions, and for the town of Renovo, it’s the Flaming Foliage Festival.

Each year, a teacher nominates an upcoming senior to represent their high school at the festival. Sadie Disher was chosen to represent Montoursville.

“I had a really good time. I was always busy, and I got to meet a lot of new people, said Disher. “I was scared at first, but I got out of my shell.”

Disher compared the experience to a “pageant”, with girls from other schools in the state interacting with judges and competing to earn the spot of queen.

The entire weekend of October 11 – 12 was busy for the contestants, with activities such as a parade, a ball, and interviews with judges.

Disher is the president of English National Honor’s Society, and is a member of the Health Science Club.
