Arrowhead staff showcase skills at journalism competition

Students were required to photograph the event, and if their initial submission gets them to states these are the photos that will be competing.Students from across the area work through timed writing prompts during the competition. Students had limited time to complete their assignments, “It was fun, I thought the prompt was very good,” said Catherine Hittle.A participant concentrates on finalizing her article as students from multiple districts take part in the PSPA news and feature writing challenges.Journalism student, Nadia Farenish, works on her PSPA assignment. “It was a new experience for me so I didn’t know what to expect, but I had a lot of fun with people in journalism,” said Farenish.Seniors Lindsay Garber and Savanna Farley work on their assignments quickly, making sure to finish before the time is up. “The prompt was much better than last year, and I enjoyed my time with everyone in journalism,” said Catherine Hittle when talking about her experience at this year’s PSPA.
