Diesels of New York is a massive truck show that occurs annually at the Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York.

Four Montoursville students decided to attend this event, one even entered his truck into the show. This event draws thousands of trucks from all over the east coast, and thousands of spectators.

“My favorite truck was Ethan’s 7.3 Power stroke because it was the only nice [old body style] there,”  said junior Bryson Lundy.

Junior Ethan Hendershot drove his 1997 Ford F-350 one-hundred and sixty miles to get there.

Hendershot waited in traffic for over three hours to get from the off ramp to the speedway, which was a three-and-a-half-mile drive, all of this after driving three hours to get to New York.

“[There] were lots of cool people and nice trucks,” Hendershot said.

The truck show had many events going on throughout the day. There were Burnout Nationals, truck dynos, vendors, and Lindsay Bercosky, a viral TikTok creator.

Many trucks left the show with grinder-signed tailgates, something that Bercosky is famous for. Juniors Brody Vlacich, Brayden Aikey, and Bryson Lundy all got their hats signed after waiting in line to meet her and get a photo with her.

“My favorite part was being able to spend the day with my girlfriend and friends and getting to see some of my favorite trucks from online,” said Hendershot.

Hendershot said he enjoyed his day at the Orange County Speedway. He walked around with his buddies and looked at all the show trucks, and vendors.

“[You should] go because there’s lots of fun things to watch and lots of cool people to talk to,” Lundy stated.

The four students that attended this event all stated that they would be willing to make the drive to New York next year and enter their trucks into the show. They want to get V.I.P tickets to enter the racetrack so that their trucks are more visible to everyone.
