Have you ever wanted to start a business of your own? Have you ever wondered how much work and perfection goes into landscaping?

Sophomore Dillan Saul undeniably knows what it takes to start and own a landscaping business.

“He [Saul’s grandfather] ran his own business before I was born, his success and work ethic have always been a major source of inspiration for me,” said Saul.

Saul grew up hearing stories about how his grandfather built his business, Palmer Industrial Coatings Inc., from the ground up. Saul took inspiration from his grandfather’s successful business, his pride in his work, and his respect for each customer.

“My approach was centered around offering affordable, high-quality work,” said Saul.

Saul started his business in April 2024. His business specializes in landscaping, lawn maintenance, seasonal cleanups, snow removal, and everything in between.

He wanted to make sure that his new clients could trust him to provide quality work at affordable prices. His goal is to build strong client relationships, and prioritize customer satisfaction, but still maintain affordability without compromising quality.

“I hope to continue to grow and take on more jobs with more clients. I’ve been able to take on more jobs due to getting my driver’s license.”

Saul is 16 years old and focuses on the areas of Montoursville, Loyalsock, and Williamsport. He said it was a learning curve, starting a new business.

Saul said looked up to his grandfather’s achievements and the example he set of hard work, dedication, and passion for what you do, which really inspired him and his ways of work.
