Q: What is your favorite memory?
A: “During my sophomore year, each Friday, the friends at my lunch table and I would play a tournament of Spoons using a pack of cards I brought and a bunch of the sporks we collected from the cafeteria. We ended up calling the game Sporks because of us only have sporks to use. We played using elimination, so whoever was the last person standing would be crowned the winner of the week. What was especially sentimental about the games we played is it brought all of us closer together, relieved us of some of the stress our classes were causing, and took us off our phones for the period.”

Q: Do you have a favorite school tradition? If so, what is it?
A: “Homecoming has to be my favorite tradition. It truly is a celebration that brings all current, former, and future students together. The crowning of the Homecoming Queen and Princess under the Friday Night Lights, the band blasting Montoursville pride through the school halls to raise school spirit, and the highly anticipated Homecoming dance all are so invigorating.”
Q: If you could give any advice to future seniors, what would it be?
A: “Keep pushing and staying strong. You’ll be entering your final year soon, so finish strong. I always like to think that if I do the hard work now, things will be easier later on. Though sometimes it feels like nothing can get worse, which trust me I know what it’s like, I promise you there is always a high to every low. Also, spend time living the life of a high schooler before it’s too late. As someone who has rarely gotten to spend any time with their friends because of studying, homework, community projects, and extracurriculars, one thing I highly regret is not taking time to have fun and relax with my favorite people and live like a teen. Finally, don’t give up your lunch. There have been times where I didn’t eat or ate after sixth period because of being busy in class, so don’t make that mistake as well.”
