Honors Chemistry Student, sophomore CJ Lucas, toasts a marshmallow over a Bunsen burner fire. Classes made s’mores for their lab about physical and chemical properties and changes, identifying the type of change the marshmallow went through.FBLA members finalize their test topics for their upcoming objective tests or other events on December 12. Last year, many students made it to states because they did well on the objective tests and performance events.Spanish Honors Society members, senior Ally Witter and senior Lily Fortin, deliver their presentation. Members learned about las Fallas de Valencia, a festival in Valencia, Spain.AP US History students present their research project on their portion of the Antebellum reform, the Abolitionist movement in Mr. Richard DeLong’s room. Students prepared a presentation, an optional quiz, and had to answer questions on different topics for their project.Veterans line the stage for the Lyter and Loyalsock Valley Veterans Day assembly. Members of Key Club helped organize the events and students, the choir sang the National Anthem, and the elementary students sang songs to honor the Veterans.Sophomore Alex Martinuik takes an Honors English 10 vocabulary test in Mrs. Sandra Trick’s classroom. Martinuik learned 30 words with Latin and Greek roots to prepare for this exam.Class historian, sophomore Adele Dunkleberger, creates a flier for an upcoming class fundraiser. The officers decided on a ‘Parents Night Out’ theme, inviting parents to drop off their kids for games, snacks, and more.Chemistry teacher, Mrs. Natalie Smith shines a light for her Honors Chemistry class. She gave the students a pair of glasses so they could see the spectrums of different elements and types of light.After the game versus Danville, the football team walks off the field. Although they lost, the team had a great season and made it to the second round of districts.
